Classical Astrologie I: Foundations

CLA Foundations is an introductory course contextualising the history of predictive astrology. Students will not only examine the principle components of a horoscope, but explore the rationale of each variable.

*The First class will cover classical planets and zodiacal division.

*The second class outlines Essential Dignity and House Division.

*The third class will explain Aspects, Lots & Nodes 

Classes will be taught by the brilliant Mar Chan. In her words: “I began studying Astrology at the age of [16]... Strangely, appropriately, it was intimate, and natural. Soon friends past, and present, would always ask me to interpret their nativity. For a while, it was entertaining (and I do enjoy the process of learning more about others), but it quickly grew tiresome. Personality assessments felt hollow, and in-consequential to me.

So I pondered if there was a more productive way to do what I love: sleuthing... At that point, Classical Astrology was still enigmatic to me, so I began to investigate. Of course, to my delight, it was all predictive. Finally, I get to provide insights with purpose. Thus, fulfilling my natal promise (North Node in Scorpio + Moon in Gemini).

Doubtless, I love the challenge. Horary Astrology, my métier, presents each case individually. No longer was I shackled to Modern Astrology's prescriptivist automation. Admittedly, I am partial the niche aspect of true horoscopic work. The history of Western Astrology is a path of service. So I find solace in the fact that my work possesses the potential to benefit others.”
